once again, site overhaul! | 7/14/2008 2:05 AM

I've once again been inspired as of late to start making my website display properly in the dominate browsers, I myself us Firefox, but many people still use Internet Explorer, and the old code for the site used to mess up while rendering in IE.

I've not completely re-done the site in CSS layouts and I've learned quite alot about CSS and how to replace tables with it to make a great layout that looks good and works in both IF and FF.

If anyone is reading this still or at all, and you find a bug in the page somewhere that is not displaying properly, please let me know so I can have that fixed up. Also, I've added a link to the Gas Station from the side menu's. I figure that way it'll get more exposure and I'll have more incentive to update it if I know people can see it and access it more readily. Hurray!

Well, not exactly. It's been a while since I've actually posted anything to this site and it's kind of making me a little upset. I mean, I created the website so I should use it right? it's useless to make something and then send it to the digital graveyard known as the internet for spammers to come across and destroy later on with promises about enlarging my penis.

What been happening then? life I guess, I've started to live more and more, I think I'm having the life I wanted to have out in Ontario, here I get the fresh start on life a chance to change my life for the better. I've been promoted to a corporate trainer at the theater, responsible for training new hires and coaching current staff.

My plan? I don't know. I hope to get a decent job for a year or so, save up some money, do things in my spare time like work on my drawing and animations and modeling skills and generally try to brush up on things. I really do want to get into animation and I think I'll love it. I just need to get my ass in gear.

It sucks working like 8 hours a day, sleeping then having to work another 8 hours over and over again for 6 days a week. I don't know But I think I'm heading somewhere better right now and I'm hoping for the best.

But why is this post here, on this page and why is is so long? because I borked my ranting site, the gas station, I borked it hard. I accidentally deleted the database that held my content and didn't realize it until like 4 days later. Serves me right for not properly naming my databases and deleting it.

you see, I host a few peoples sites, these sites are now defunct and I deleted the databases, save some space eh? since they're not being used... now I accidentally deleted the one I was sure I had kept, fudge eh.

I've not been doing alot of work lately... I've been busy at work, running around doing errands for my car and worrying about paying bills.

But Lately I've been inspired and I've had the urge to get back to work, the school has been sending me emails with potential job's and some of them have been interesting and worth checking out, So i've gone back to my old demo reel and starting touching it up, new textures and new items for the sets to make it more lived in, some dirt to make it look less... well, clean I guess. I'm also re-doing the animation to hopefully make it look better witht the new rig and character.

After thats done, I intend to start on my next project for the Masked mutt, I'm now sure what I want to do for it yet, I might try to improve my animation by doing a fight scene? I don't know... but expect updates on my demo, if all goes as planned I should have my demo up on the site by mid to late september.

Well, I've got a proper desk to work on and it's much easier to use the mouse and keyboard now. So I'll be hopefully getting back to work on more of my demo and the Masked Mutt. I've got so many plans for the masked mutt it's not even funny, but if I can eventually get him into an animated short I'll be happy, part of my life long goal since Gr.3 will be complete :D

but before I get to that, I need to freshen my skills up a little and will attempt to do a 3D tour of my apartment so that my parents and family all the way across the country in Ontario can see my place.

Been a little while since I've actually posted on the site, but things have been kind of busy recently... Ok, I've been slacking off and putting things off over and over.

For some time I've been planning on leaving Ontario and heading out west with a friend of about 5 years who has a brother out there, plan is to get an apartment somewhere in Edmonton and get jobs there and expand into my career, it's a once in a life time chance and I'm going to take it.

we've had some set backs recently but my friend has decided to just put them on the back burner and get ready to head out, So I will most likely be heading out west soon, plan is to be gone by the end of the month, only a few weeks to go, I've got to get my ass in gear!

as for the Site, I've been working on a personal project that I aim to use as a second demo reel in the future, it's based on the real life true stories of my dear old pop and when I get it finished I think it'll be great, I'm still in the planning stages, working out the set and characters and thinking about the story boards, but I think it'll be cool.

I would have the animation of the space battle up, but a technical glitch is screwing up the engine thrusters and I'm not sure how to fix it exactly.

The Run cycle, walk cycle and action cycle should be up either before I leave or as soon as I get settled. Either way, I should be able to get them up easily.
